Mr. G. M. Ibru is the firm’s Principal and Founding Partner.He attended Holborn College of Law, London and graduated with an LLB (London) in 1965. He was called to the English Bar (Inner Temple) in 1966 and enrolled at the Supreme Court of Nigeria as Solicitor and Advocate in 1968. He became a Notary Public in 1973. He is the Chairman of New Partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD) Business Group – Nigeria. Mr. Ibru is also the Chairman of Ikeja Hotel Plc; owners of Sheraton Lagos Hotel & Towers, The Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc, owners of Federal Palace Hotel and Suites and Capital Hotels Plc., Owners of Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers. He is a past president of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Ibru is the Honorary Consul and Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Consulate of Lithuania to Nigeria.

Mr. Ibru is on the Board of several other companies. He wasalso the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), Nigeria’s apex private sector tourism body.

Mr. E. A. Chukwura is the firm’s Managing Partner. He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1967 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1972. He has since been engaged in Commercial Law Practice and became the Managing Partner in 1986. He is also a Notary Public. He was the team leader in the firm’s engagement as legal advisers to:

 Ikeja Hotel Plc., in the Company’s acquisition of majority shareholding in The Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc, owners of the Federal Palace Hotel during the Federal Government of Nigeria’s 1992 privatization programme.
Triumph Merchant Bank Plc., in the bank’s public offer of 600,000,000 ordinary shares.
Ikeja Hotel Plc., in the company’s public offer of 420,000 ordinary shares.
The Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc., during the public issue of 40% of its shares.

Mr. Yakka M. Atsevgo graduated from University of Jos in 1990 and was called to the Bar in 1992. Throughout his years at the Bar, he has been involved in litigation in all its ramifications at both the inferior as well as superior courts of record. He is an advocate of alternative dispute resolution and has a flair for academics. He also has particular interest in commercial law and has been involved in the preparation and perfection of all manner of legal documents. He currently heads the Abuja Office of the firm.

Mr. Akpofure Ibru holds his LL.B from Edo State University, and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar shortly afterwards. His extensive experience in commercial negotiations, company promotional and project management spans nearly two decades of dedicated solicitor’s work and legal consultancy. He also serves as a non-executive director on the boards of several leading Nigerian companies. A keen Rotarian, he can often be found donating his time, skill and experience to the less fortunate in society.

Mr. Aherhe Akpojaro got his LL.B from Edo State University in 1999. He was called to the bar in 2000. Hehandles such matters as alternative dispute resolution, civil litigation [with emphasis on debt recovery and property disputes], drafting and negotiation of Oil & Gas JV Agreements between local and foreign firms and has been heavily involved in the privatization exercise at Tafawa Balewa Square. He is also a skilled observer of the capital market.

Mr. O. Enyore Oku is a graduate of University of Benin and was admitted in 2002 as a Barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has experience in corporate practice and civil litigation, with emphasis on property and labour disputes.

Mr. Ufuoma Ibru holds a B. Eng. from King’s College, University of London and a B. A. Jurisprudence (LLB equivalent) from St. Catherine’s College, Oxford. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003. His areas of special interest are Information Technology/Intellectual Property, Capital Markets and Venture Capital.

Mr. D. Olu Fayemi has a degree from the University of Ibadan in 2003 and was admitted to the Bar in 2005. He has been a litigator from the beginning of his practice especially in the areas of real property, intellectual property, banking and is an expert in trespass to reputation law.

Miss. A.M Anierobi holds an LLB from the University of Lagos and was called to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2012. Her areas of interest include commercial and corporate law practice, civil litigation, family and probate law, labour law, defamation law and energy resources law. 

Mr. Dibie Nathaniel
 is a graduate of the University of Benin and was admitted to the Bar in 2012. His areas of interest include intellectual property, commercial and corporate practice, conflict of laws and civil litigation.
